Celtic have a plethora of young talent in their ranks at this current time.

We have covered them many times on this blog. Tobi Oluwayemi is a young goalkeeper that is tipped for a huge career.

Dane Murray is another young Scottish talent that has shown great potential and, of course, Rocco Vata and Joey Dawson are also those on the periphery of the first team.

But it is young Bosun Lawal who is grabbing the attention of clubs from England and Italy.

According to The Daily Mail, Brentford are keeping tabs on Lawal alongside Serie A club Verona and Serie B promotion chasers Pisa.

Lawal was signed by Celtic last summer after impressing scouts when the youngster was named as Watford’s Academy Player of the Year. [CelticFC]

He has been in incredible form for the B team and has shone in the Lowland league to such an extent that he has now found himself in and around Ange Postecoglou’s first team.

He was an unused sub on Saturday’s visit to Aberdeen.

Upon signing for Celtic, Lawal made clear his intentions on making the first team and proving his worth to the club, “The hope is to make my debut with the first-team, get my chance and really grab the moment and show people I’m capable of playing at a high level.”

Lawal has undoubted talent and I would hope that Ange Postecoglou will not allow the same mistakes of his predecessor when we witnessed a lot of our youngsters leave the club due to a lack of first-team opportunities.

Who are Celtic’s most capped players from these countries?

I think most fans only complaint about Ange is he doesn’t give our youngsters a chance in games….but nowadays big clubs have bigger squads than in years gone bye….even with 5 subs these days youngsters rarely make even the bench so any budding talent can easily be picked up for peanuts by smaller clubs in wealthier leagues to the detriment of our club…..i don’t know the answer but would love to see next JF Captain Marvel ( Cal McGregor ) playing in Senior team sooner than later.
