The Bhoys got back to league action with a fine win earlier this week as we beat St. Mirren 4-0 and also opened up a nice gap on those below us.
Certainly, it was an impressive performance from the Bhoys and one that underlined why we are surely going to win the league again this season.
It seems as though Maryan Shved is set to join the club as well, but Brendan Rodgers might well be concerned by the thoughts of legendary Ukranian manager Myron Markevych about the winger.
As quoted by the Daily Record, Markevych was scathing when talking about Shved’s work ethic:
“It’s like he thinks he’s played for the national team and has made it and therefore he won’t run anymore.
“It’s very poor from him.”
Of course, this might well not be the case once he is playing for us but it is a revelation with the capacity to concern.
We want to see players giving their all for the shirt, and I am sure Brendan will make that crystal clear to Shved if needs be.
