Celtic striker Georgios Samaras believes that the supporters will once more prove a major factor against old rivals Rangers at Parkhead on Sunday.

Both clubs currently boast 100% records in the SPL and the Greek international is sure the home fans will again play a hugely significant role, as they did in the recent victory at Dundee United.

“Even when the game was 1-1 on Sunday, they were right behind us because the team was playing good football and trying to score,” he told Celtic’s official website. “Hopefully the team and the supporters continue in this relationship until the end of the season and we can keep this nice feeling and great atmosphere in the club.

“The atmosphere and everything about a Rangers game is unbelievable,” Samaras added. “There are no words to describe this game. It is a magic feeling for sure and I am really proud for myself that I get to play in these games.”
