We all remember when Ange was announced to the press right? Most of thought rationally and wondered who he was.
There was some, particularly in the media, that showed no respect for the Australian and were not shy in showing it.
And one of them was Alan Brazil. We all remember his rant and the guys at Australian TV show The Front Bar [via Football Scotland] played Ange that clip but before that, this is what they said to the Celtic gaffer,“I just want people out there to understand what you’ve done and I know you’re a humble man and would never do this.
“So you will arrive at Celtic at an incredible time and you have to put up with naysayers.
“Now you’re a tough guy you know you can put up with it but when you see stuff like Alan Brazil on on the radio can we just just play this”
They then go on to play this clip of Alan Brazil tearing into Ange live on air:
The presenter then continued, “That said, Alan Brazil has played for Scotland, and since then clearly has eaten humble pie, quite a bit of it.”
It was a classic putdown that Ange couldn’t stop laughing at and a lesson to those in the media to show respect and humility in the future.
