According to the Daily Record, Celtic have been told by Stuart Armstrong that he wants to leave the club this summer.

We have, of course, been here before with the 26-year-old midfielder.

Only last summer he was thinking about moving but decided to stay put but now it looks as though he is ready to jump ship.

Last summer, I would have been more worried as he had a top 16/17 but last season I felt as though we perhaps didn’t need him as much.

Players like Callum McGregor stepped up to the plate and so if Armstrong wants out then let’s cash in and see what we can get for him.

The Verdict

Armstrong is a good player and one I rate but if he doesn’t want to be here then let’s see what we can get for him.

It’d be nice to see him stay but if he doesn’t want to be here then he can move right on.

  • Always said if payer doesn’t want to play for Celtic then let him go. We only need/want players that are committed to Celtic. We have good coverage in this area so am not too worried. Lets be honest Brendan kindda knows what he’s doing.

  • Let Armstrong leave for a decent fee, plenty cover in Rogic, McGregor and young Christie if given a chance. Would like to see any transfer money received being spent on a quality creative midfielder for big European nights, hail hail
