Celtic are reportedly offering a new contract to coach Gavin Strachan, according to Football Insider.
The much maligned coach was the subject of much derision by the Celtic fans last season as they targeted the highly rated coach during the ill fated ten in a row season for his use of laptops and iPads in the dugout.
It was a short sighted venting of frustration of the Celtic fans as they sought to blame someone for the disastrous campaign but it seems that Ange Postecoglou is ready to offer him a new deal as the Aussie manager does rate the 42 year old coach.
Strachan joined the club just over two seasons ago under Neil Lennon and is not just rated inside the Celtic camp.
Strachan rejected the opportunity to become Hartlepool’s new manager just last year and decided to stay on and help Ange Postecoglou rebuild this Celtic side.
It is a gamble that seems to have paid off as the Hoops are now in pole position to seal the league title and an unprecedented domestic Treble.
With only six games to go in the season, Strachan will be hoping to sign the deal as a Scottish champion again under Ange and look to take the club into the Champions League group stages nex t season.
I am sure, when we do get over the line and claim the title, Ange will be refused NOTHING from the board!. He will be fully in charge,just as he is at the moment.! His grip on Scottish football has the other side of Glasgow, getting up “sick” every morning.! Some can not except, that their team was and is a “one trick pony”, and as I said, they are sick.
