As Celtic prepare to face Bodo Glimt on Thursday night, the Hoops have a huge task ahead of them to overturn the 3-1 home defeat suffered just less than seven days ago.

After Maeda clawed one back as Celtic were 2-0 down, any hopes of an impressive fightback were doused as Vetleson restored the visitors advantage, leaving the Parkhead side with a mountain to climb in Norway.

But it’s not only a mountain that Celtic need to contend with as they look to overturn their two goal disadvantage.

With the Aspmyra Stadion slap bang in the middle of the Arctic circle, journalist Connie McLaughlin, shared a photo on social media which outlines the weather that Ange Postecoglou’s men need to contend with if they have any hope of progressing to the next round of the Europa Conference League:

Freezing conditions, snow and what looks like impending storm clouds make the weather we experienced last week like a veritable summers day.

Celtic do need to dig deep on Thursday night and will need to avoid conceding to have any chance of progressing and looking at our most recent away form in Europe, that doesn’t fill me with any confidence.

But then, we do have a defence that has now played a full season together and despite losing four goals in our last two domestic games, there is still belief amongst the squad that there is enough in the tank to pull off a result.
