A report has surfaced today that has incredibly linked THREE former Celtic legend’s to the vacant Hibernian managers post.

According to a report in The Herald, former Celtic managers Gordon Strachan and Neil Lennon are one of the favourites for the post alongside legendary midfielder Scott Brown.

As Jack Ross was dismissed this morning, the reports have been coming thick and fast as to who will take over from the former St Mirren and Sunderland boss.

Gordon Strachan still has a position with Dundee and was working on a mysterious review of Celtic’s backroom inner workings earlier in the season, the results of which are still unknown.

He led Celtic to three straight Premier League titles, a Scottish Cup and two League Cups. He also helped the Hoops qualify for the last 16 of the Champions League twice.

There is not much that can be said about Neil Lennon’s stints at Celtic that haven’t been said before but it would be a sensational return to management if he were to take over the reigns at Easter Road for a second time.

As Scott Brown enjoys learning his coaching trade at Aberdeen, could he be ready to take the leap into management with the Edinburgh side in such a precarious postion?

It will be an interesting few days at least as Hibs continue their search for a new manager.
