Sutton’s brilliant tweet as Celtic capitulate

The title is over as Celtic meekly and embarrassingly gave up their crown with their eight draw of the season to hand seal the Scottish Premiership to their Glasgow rivals.

The season will forever be remembered as the year of disappointment as Celtic gave up two of their three trophies without a single bit of fight in them.

The 2-0 defeat at home to Ross County in the league cup in November was probably the lowest point of the season for me. To be eliminated by a team that was bottom of the league and struggling to score so convincingly should have set the alarm bells ringing for the board that the season was only going one way.

Is "Rangers" a new club?

YES

YES

NO

NO

However ex Celtic striker, Chris Sutton, sent a congratulatory tweet to our rivals which has sent Govan twitter into meltdown. Quite simply it said, “Well done to Steven Gerrard and Rangers on a brilliant season and one in a row” with applause emoji’s.

Simple. Straight to the point and even better, true.  The constant crowing of “going for 55” when claiming the silverware of the old club but yet denying the fiscal responsibilities in the same breath in mind numbingly stupid and it is about time that one of the main stream media pundits faced this issue and recognised that this is, in fact, their first trophy.

Celtic will come back stronger next season, of that there is no doubt, so let them have their day in the sun because they will be put back in their place soon enough.
