Even after a fine team performance in Hungary, even after taking his goal with such confidence and aplomb, there is always one person who is never happy regardless what they see on the pitch.
Kyogo Furuhashi produced an exquisite goal last night that showed exactly why Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou decided to splash £4.5m on the Japanese international.
His little check back onto his left foot to deceive the Ferncvaros defence and goalkeeper was a thing of beauty and set the tone for the night.
But as the majority of the Celtic fans hailed Furuhashi for his goal and performance, former SPL Chief Roger Mitchell had a rather peculiar take on him.
Mitchell took to twitter to reply to a Furuhashi appreciation tweet and then seemed to go on, what one can only call, a ramble about Charlie Nicholas, Martin O’Neill and, well, you judge for yourself here:
That sounds harsh and I readily admit that I've never been one to let the heart dictate re fandom. And that's unusual.
The day Charlie left for Arsenal I think I was 16. I said to myself "this is a mugs game, we cannot hold anyone here that is the kind of level I want to see".

Rather than look at what a successful smaller club looks like Ajax, Brugge, Atalanta, and demanding the same, they go weakkneed at this.
As I said at the weekend after ross county, make your mind up guys.
You go from dalglish to "disgrace" in a week.

Again, this is a rather strange way to endear yourself to the Celtic fans.
Not too long ago, Mitchell said he has aspirations to buy the club to “give the fans the club they deserve” but that required support and buy in from your potential customers. The fans.
And if you are consistently dragging down the achievements of the club and the quality of the product, Mitchell will have no chance of getting the buy in from the Celtic fans.
And his last comment of “You go from Dalgleish (I know) to disgrace in a week”?
I don’t recall any Celtic fan calling Furuhashi a disgrace after the Ross County match last Saturday. Do you?
