There are teams that fold after an 88 minute equalise or take the point. Then there are champions. This team really does not stop. In a game where Dundee United sat back until the 78th minute and were only in it thanks to VAR, we never left second gear, until the 89th minute. Then we showed our class, two late goals to ensure 3 points and put us seven points clear at the top of the table.

As a Dundonian myself, with many friends who are United fans, I hope they are appalled by the awful tactics and football their team played today. Thugs on a pitch would be kind and the only reason they still had eleven players on the pitch was down to the inept officiating that has more and more become the norm in Scottish football. More than that this was anti football. Sitting 10 outfield players behind the ball for much of the game, this is everything that is wrong with Scottish football.

Our gaffer will move on from the VAR decision and focus on the performance, which wasn’t great but it got the job done. We move on now to Wednesday night and another tough game against Motherwell away. Two games left before the World Cup and if we keep our 4-point lead and strengthen in the transfer market, we will be unstoppable.
