Well this was a story that came out of the blue wasn’t it?
Fresh from hitting the top of the league, now we have the media reporting that an English Premier League club is interested in signing one of Celtic’s in form players in Liel Abada.
You just wish these teams would stop being lazy and do their own scouting. Just for a wee change.
But it shows you the pull and size of the Glasgow club that teams from down south keep returning to poach our star players.
And according to Israeli media outlet One, Celtic have been in dialogue with The Eagles and this is what they have told them, “This is a young player we haven’t finished paying for yet, there’s nothing to talk about at the moment.”
At the moment?
They should be told nothing to talk about ‘ever’.
Having just arrived at the club in the summer, the 20 year old has been in sparkling form for Celtic.
Already on 37 appearances, young Abada has scored 13 goals and created 9 assists.
It is little wonder he seems to be attracting attention from others but this attention should be rebuffed in no uncertain terms.
He is a Celtic player and will remain so for as long as we see fit.
