Celtic have turned down a third bid from Norwich City for top scorer Gary Hooper.

“I think Norwich came in with a third bid yesterday and it was rejected” – Neil Lennon

Manager Neil Lennon described the latest offer as unsatisfactory after already twice rebuffing the East Anglian club.

“I think Norwich came in with a third bid yesterday and it was rejected,” Lennon told BBC Scotland. “They were well short. We don’t have a price on Gary, but the bid that was put in yesterday was well short.”

Meanwhile, Lennon was pleased at the response following the weekend Scottish Communities League Cup semi-final defeat as Celtic cruised past Kilmarnock 4-1 to further extend their lead at the top of the table.

“People expect us to win here,” he added. “But off the back of Sunday they showed some great character. I know what I’ve got in the dressing room, so I’m really pleased with that.”
