Celtic manager Neil Lennon was insisting there had been no further bids from Norwich City for leading scorer Gary Hooper ahead of the closure of the January transfer window.
“There have been no fresh bids for Gary and even if there are they will be rejected” – Neil Lennon |
The Canaries were reported to have already had four offers for Hooper rejected by the SPL leaders.
Manager Chris Hughton has so far brought in Leeds United striker Luciano Becchio on deadline day in exchange for Welsh international Steve Morison.
Lennon reacted to the speculation by posting on his own twitter page: “Contrary to reports there have been no fresh bids for Gary and even if there are they will be rejected. He is NOT for sale.”
