Turnbull – “We need to push forward”

|

Having returned from his first ever winter training camp, David Turnbull says the team are refreshed and ready to face the challenge the rest ofnthe season poses.

The youngster made his breakthrough this season in the Europa League against Lille, and has not looked back. Turnbull has been in fantastic form and is also no stranger to finding the back of the net.

Turnbull can’t wait to get back to league business and speaking to CelticFC website, he said, “The last result was obviously a tough one to take, but in football you never get too high and you never get too low, which means it’s just about kicking on now and pushing forward, trying to put that result behind us and focus on the next game – which against Hibs.

“The last game will be playing in our heads and we just need to try and make things right and change the result to go our way. It was a tough one, in the first half especially, we battered them, we had plenty of chances, and we needed to take them. We didn’t, obviously, but we were on top the full game. It’s always harder to take when you did dominate the game so much.

“Now, our attention’s on Hibs and it’s a good one to get back into. It’s always a tough game against them, they’re a big side and they’ve had a few decent results this season and they’ve caused problems for a number of teams. It’ll be a tough game but we need to go and play our normal game and do everything we can to get three points.
