On loan winger Patrick Roberts scored twice as Celtic overcame St Johnstone 4-1 at Celtic Park.
Following a scoreless opening half, debutant Mikey Johnston helped Roberts to locate the far corner for the initial goal of the contest.
However, Steven MacLean struck an equaliser after Graham Cummins was initially denied, only for Dedryck Boyata to instantly head the champions back in front.
Roberts then went on to add his second from Scott Sinclair’s cut-back before substitute Callum McGregor’s fine individual finish completed matters.
