The visitors and runaway leaders went in front close to the break through a deflected Jozo Simunovic effort.
Hoops midfielder Stuart Armstrong then arrowed a header past Scott Bain and into the corner from James Forrest’s early second-half delivery.
Dundee later pulled a goal back courtesy of substitute Faissal El Bakhtaoui’s blistering 76th minute finish.
