Norwegian defender Thomas Rogne has described Celtic’s Old Firm win at the weekend as a real confidence booster.
“We didn`t get much time to train together before we started playing together and you always need time to get used to each other, and the last few games have been good” – Thomas Rogne
The Hoops gained revenge for an earlier home defeat to Rangers by recording an excellent two-goal victory at Ibrox.
“It was an important result of us,” Rogne told Celtic’s official website. “We needed that as it brings some confidence and some happiness into the team. We have won the last three games and each win has been important and we’re looking to get a good run of victories again.”
One of the features of the success was the developing partnership between Rogne and Swedish international Daniel Majstorovic at the heart of the Celtic defence.
“I think it`s been great in the last few games,” added Rogne. “We didn`t get much time to train together before we started playing together and you always need time to get used to each other, and the last few games have been good.”
