It was just a matter of time before Celtic started to get tenuous links with players from Bodo Glimt.

After the Norwegian champions knocked the Scottish giants out of Europe on Thursday, even the pundits were suggesting that Ange shift his transfer strategy to the Northern Hemisphere.

There is no doubt players in that side impressed. Absolutely they did.

But Ange has a plan and so far, it is working superbly.

But this latest transfer story of Bodo Glimt’s attacking midfielder Ola Solbakken being offered to Celtic smacks of opportunism. At least on the players agent’s part.

Celts are Here claimed an exclusive when they contacted the Norwegian internationals agent about the availability of the winger and this is what they said, “There’s no clause and no option [For Bodo to extend his current deal].”

“Ola was offered to Celtic scouts last summer”

He was offered to Celtic’s scouts last summer.  If that’s the case, why did Celtic not take them up on it? Simple.

He’s not good enough.

Look at his overall stats. 85 appearances. 13 goals. 16 assists.

Liel Abada is on 14 goals and 11 even assists on half the game time.

Solbakken’s agents seen an opportunity when Celts Are Here contacted them. And fair play to the site.

That was brilliant initiative to take that step to contact them.

But the agents are trying to engineer a move anywhere by using Celtic’s name.

And who knows. It might work.

Because here we are talking about him again.
