Remember last summer?

Jesus it seems such a long time ago. In fact if you look at what I was writing then:

Hugh Keevins “distress flares” as still no Howe for now

We were still chasing Eddie Howe with Hugh Keevins putting the boot into the club. That will never change but the point is, what a difference a year makes.

We then hired a new CEO in Dom McKay and not long after along came the gaffer.

And not too long after that, McKay was gone.

As soon as he was in, he was out.

And the reason?

Kevin Graham of A Celtic State of Mind podcast believes he has the answer to that.

Speaking in todays show, Graham said, “We all know the big rumour is that the reason that our CEO, that nobody seems to talk about anymore, at the start of last season was bulleted was because he didn’t go out and sign Juranovic when the manager wanted him.

“And he was told on quite uncertain terms that this is not the way this works at this football club.

“So that was the rumour that the reason he got bulleted was he was saying, ‘What are you doing signing him we haven’t got the money to do that‘.

“And thank God we did sign him.”

We haven’t looked back since.

Just imagine the outcome if Ange got so annoyed he walked.

Doesn’t bare thinking about!
