The under-19s put four goals past Dunfermline without reply on the much-maligned Barrowfield pitch on Friday where – despite the decrepit nature of the training ground, a fact we are reminded of so often ? it was the only youth game to survive the weather at the weekend.

Celtic now have a six-point lead over Motherwell in the table after ten games. The youths next game is against Falkirk at Stirling University next Friday afternoon at 1pm. Subject to the weather of course.
