Celtic have made some decent attacking signings but we need to add defensively before the window is out.
The Bhoys have some good options going forwards but defensively we could be in real trouble come the end of the window.
Indeed, we have player contracts running down and one of those concerns Mikael Lustig.
Whilst we wait to see whether or not the right-back is going to sign a new deal or be replaced, then, he has sought to offer some clarity on the situation.
Speaking to Aftonbladet in Sweden, he had this to say:
“I have dialogue with our coach and the club.
“Both my and the other right-back’s contract is expiring. That Celtic are looking for a new right-back I have no problem whatsoever with.
“They have to address that. Then we will see what my situation is, if I stay or I go somewhere else.”
It seems apparent that Lustig wants to get things solved as soon as possible and that he is probably happy with either scenario.
He’s been a good servant for us but his time really is coming to an end and the Bhoys need to sort it.
