Do you know the problem of getting a poor result during the international week? There is no domestic fixture after a defeat to put it right so all the media and pundits do is pour over it and analyse it until the next game comes up.
I think the majority of the Celtic fans got over it relatively quickly to be fair as the general consensus is that you can’t win every game.
But as I said, the result and the performance just continues to get poured over and next up to give his opinion on the game is Andy Walker.
The former Celtic striker heaped praise on The Buddies and singled out two Celtic players for particular criticism.
Speaking on The Go Radio Football Show, Walker said, “I mean Celtic were off it but first and foremost you’ve got to commend St Mirren.
“I thought their game plan was great.
“I didn’t think Jenz and Welsh would get bullied the way they were by Curtis Maine and Ayunga.
“I thought both of them led the line so well.
“I mean, they didn’t have a lot of the ball at all whenever they were in that last third.
“And they went direct a lot. They didn’t put it out short from the goalkeeper either from by kicks or when he had the ball at his feet.
“And they went long and they fought for possession in the opposition half.
“Their game plan worked a treat and they bullied those Celtics centre backs and got their joy.”
With a week to go to the next fixture, I am sure the team are itching to get back to winning ways and I tell you something, I pity Motherwell’s visit to Celtic Park next week as they could be in for a long afternoon.
Don’t think his comments were wrong ,only singled out 2 players was wrong ,more like bullied all over the park. I don’t take offence when the truth is told ,lies and blind to what’s really happening is more of a problem.
