I’ll get to the weekend’s football later but right now, speculation surrounding Celtic boss, Ange Postecoglou is starting to ramp up again as the Australian is linked, yet again, to another job down south.

After being heavily linked with Brighton and then BBC Scotland creating a tenuous link with Leicester City, the rumours seem never-ending and also tiresome, as the Celtic manager got our title defence back on track with a 2-1 win against Motherwell.

But as the Celtic manager, again, rebuffed links to jobs again in his pre-match Motherwell interview, journalist Mark Guidi, made two big claims about the future of the Hoops boss.

Speaking on The Go Radio Football Show, Guidi said, “In September last year, this time last year, probably people were saying is he the right man for the job, can he do it? He’ll still try to win the Celtic fans over and get things going.

“And he certainly has managed to do that and he’s achieved that with some style.

“I think as long as he feels he’s getting the backing of the board in terms of being allowed to bring in the type of player that he wants to bring in, I can see him being here for three or four years.

“If he thought that the club was going to stand still, or go back the way, then he will be off like a shot. He won’t hang about.

“And he’ll have plenty of offers down the road.

“And I think at the moment and then when you look at his CV, what he’s achieved, bearing in mind he’s been part of the City Group, which has big, big kudos down the road, I see him being headhunted by top 10 clubs down the road rather than bottom six.”

I suppose that’s three big claims and not two.

And what is not in doubt is that Ange has the ear and the backing of the Celtic board. The last three transfer windows have proven that.

This Celtic board have backed their manager to the hilt. And it is paying dividends.

I genuinely believe Postecoglou will be here for the foreseeable future.

He is a principled man and he has always been upfront and honest with the Celtic fans.
