Last season was a brilliant rollercoaster of emotion for the Celtic fans.

From a hiring a relatively ‘unknown’ manager in Ange Postecoglou, to the shaky start in the league and to uncovering transfer gems like Kyogo and Jota, we were certainly put through the mill.

But then came the football. That free flowing attacking beautiful football that swept all before them and delivered an unexpected league and cup double.

It was simply beautiful.

And what are we to expect next season?

More of the same?

Absolutely no chance says the Celtic gaffer.

Speaking in the Daily Record, Ange said, “The players won’t be expecting me to go in and say: ‘Let’s do everything that we did last year’.

That would go against everything I’ve talked about. I’d be saying, ‘We’ve got a successful formula so let’s just roll that out again.’

There’s now that expectation within the group. The coaches, and myself as the leader, have to match and deliver those expectations of wanting more, and try to achieve something special.

“Maybe the fact I was underestimated when I came in worked in my favour. This season people will say: ‘We’re won’t under-estimate him because we know what he can deliver.’

“So things I could have used as tools again this year don’t exist but there are other things we can do.”

I cannot wait to see what he brings to the table next.

The one thing we love about Ange is he’s always one step ahead of the game.

The press. The journalists. Our rivals.

It will be very interesting to see what he brings to the table with a full pre season under his belt.

He’s getting his say in before some pundit tries to say what he thinks angi is thinking so that stops pundits saying and writing Full stop no mix up angi in before the rubbish starts
