Well, well, well.

After weeks writing about Cameron Carter-Vickers and his impending transfer to Celtic whilst moaning about the lack of information on Portuguese winger Jota, it seems that the long awaited permanent move to the Hoops may, after all, be on.

The early season form of Jota had the Celtic fans clambering for the board to splash the reported £6m it would take to lure him to the club and with the league title all but in the bag, along with Champions League group stage football, it does seem as though the 23 year old has now decided to make his short stay in Glasgow a more permanent one.

Reports surfacing today [Jornal Nautical] claim that the on loan Benfica man has told his parent club of his  intentions to stay in Glasgow, The winger, true star of Celtic, should stay at the Scottish club which, as far as we know, will exercise the purchase clause agreed upon on loan, valued at 7.5 million euros, and has already informed the eagles of the decision.”

This news will delight Ange Postecoglou and the Celtic support who have really taken Jota to their hearts.

His skill, trickery and the person himself is really suited to a club like Celtic and the next few weeks will be interesting to see how this deal pans out.
