It was only a matter of time before the rumours started about Ange and Everton.

In fact, the only surprise was how long it took for them to start up and I covered the Daily Mail’s attempt to link the Celtic boss to the EPL strugglers here.

I firmly believe that going to any club that chops and changes managers the way that club does is a mistake for any manager but Ange is far too shrewd to be tempted by it.

He knows exactly what he has in Glasgow.

And whilst I wouldn’t be so arrogant to believe that he would not leave us at some point, it won’t be now. And it certainly won’t be for Everton.

And journalist Hugh Keevins thinks that too.

When asked if any managers up here would be of interest to Everton, Keevins’ reply was first class.

Speaking on Clyde 1 Superscoreboard, Keevins said, “Well, there was one who played Everton in Australia fairly recently and was mentioned in connection with them.

“No, I wouldn’t touch that [job] with the proverbial bargepole.

“Ange Postecoglou has many things to do yet at Celtic, and honestly, I wouldn’t go anywhere near Everton for anything.”

A refreshing change for a man who always seems to want to criticise the club at every point.

Everton is a club in disarray.

Anyone that follows football can see that and whilst Ange is probably the most qualified manager out there that has the ability to sort them out, he still has unfinished business at Celtic.

And he intends to see it through.
