Celtic’s history is one that is to be proud of.
First British club to win the European Cup. First Scottish club to complete a nine in a row. Twice.
First club to ever do a Quadruple Treble.
The list is endless.
But with that history comes classic moments in time.
For me, Frank McAvennie’s last minute winner in the centenary season to seal an historic League and Cup double.
Or the famous 5-0 win at St Mirren to clinch the title in the last day of the season.
On the European stage, Barcelona, Juventus and Manchester United victories are ones that will live long in the memory and I haven’t even spoken about the UEFA Cup run or reaching the last 16 in the Champions League.
All this is possible because of Celtic’s glittering domestic dominance and it was captured in one brilliant tweet from Sky Sports’ Anthony Joseph:
Celtic have won 113 major trophies in their 134-year history – and 35 of them have been won in the last 22 years. That's 31%.
It's their 16th league title in that time period.#21stCenturyCelts

I’m 45 years old. I have been privileged to have witnessed one of the most successful and glittering periods of our clubs history.
22 years of complete domestic dominance will not be rivalled never mind beaten by any Scottish club in my lifetime.
Celtic edge ever closer to becoming the record holders of the SPFL title and what a momentous occasion that will be.
