The transfer window looks set to be a busy one and I’m looking forward to seeing who we can get after.
I think next year we will need to be ready squad-wise.
In Europe, Brendan surely wants to make a bigger splash than he has so far whilst domestically Rangers, Aberdeen and Hibs will all surely look to improve – as well as Hearts.
Of course, we are still by far and a way the side to beat but we cannot just rest on our laurels and have done with, we need to be proactive.
That’s why, then, I thought Celtic Gossip’s latest discussion on Twitter was of great interest as they and other fans looked at players in the country that could make an impression for us.
Here’s what was said:
A question for you all. Is there any player in Scotland you think would improve our team? If so who? HH

Immediately improve the starting 11 no. I do however think John McGinn is worth the investment and Harry Cochrane and Dimitri Mitchell at hearts would be worth “keeping an eye on”

First 11? No
Squad? John McGinn but wouldn’t pay the money for him— David Morrison (@DMorrison07) May 23, 2018
I’d have John McGinn in a heartbeat.

Not one player would oust the starting 11 at the Cup Final

Well, we’ve signed Jack Hendry and Lewis Morgan so there’s clearly players out there that Rodgers thinks can do a job for the team. McGinn at Hibs is a good player and will only get better. I’d have him at Celtic learning from Brown.

McGinn and McKenna. Maybe not improve but would be good bit of business.

The Verdict
Certainly, McGinn is the one I think stands out most of all.
You can see similarities with him and Scott Brown not only because of the Hibernian link so I think he’d be a decent addition.
Harry Cochrane at Hearts is also someone I think we should consider too.
