Blow as agent reveals Hoops defender wants EPL move

|

Diego Laxalt has been something of a revelation since joining Celtic on loan from AC Milan in the last transfer window.  The Uruguayan international has been in great form for the Hoops and has  delighted Celtic fans with his attacking prowess and energy down the left flank that has been missing since Kieran Tierney left for Arsenal.

There had been hope that Laxalt would make his move permanent at Celtic Park after rumours that talks between the two clubs where in the offing to come to a deal, but it seems that the left back’s agent Ariel Krasouski has different ideas after revealing Laxalt has ambitions to play in the English Premiership next season. Speaking to the Scottish media, Krasouski said, “Diego is playing a lot of games for Celtic and he is very happy there. They treat him very well in Glasgow.

“In the summer he will return to Milan after his loan contract at Celtic ends.

“I think Milan will try and sell him at that point before his contract expires in a year’s time.

Diego’s wish is to play next season in England. We’ll have to wait and see what happens.”

Lennon will no doubt be hopeful that Laxalt changes his mind after having his first taste of major domestic honours in yesterdays cup final and the guarantee of European football every season, but Celtic could find it very difficult to dissuade the Uruguayan to chose Scotland over the riches and glamour of the English Premier League.
