Bookies, Paddy Power, suspended betting on who is to become the new Celtic manager as Eddie Howe’s odds are slashed to 1/5.
The managers position has been under serious speculation for a number of months now and Howe has been odds on with all book makers for a number of weeks now.
In their usual funny and quirky style, Paddy Power said, “Howe’s your luck? You go on the record saying you’re going nowhere, and within hours your club’s lined up a younger, better looking model. I know the feeling.
“The Celtic board brought Neil Lennon back to the club to be a kind of steady Eddie – now it looks like they’ve gone for the real deal instead.”
Manger, Neil Lennon, is under severe pressure as the teams form has dipped dramatically in the last four weeks.
Celtic have drawn their last four games, effectively handing the title to their rivals, which is a winless run not been seen since 2000.
Lennon has been defiant in his determination to stay Celtic boss and refuses to resign.
The Celtic board are currently “reviewing” the managers position and the Celtic fans will be waiting with baited breath to see if Lennon stays or go’s.
