Copenhagen are current Danish champions and sit second in the Superliga behind Midtjylland who were knocked out of the Europa League in the preliminaries by Rangers.
The Celts must fancy their chances of progression having seen off Lazio in the group stages recording two historic victories in the process.
Copenhagen finished second in group B behind Malmo and only lost once in their six games, a 1-0 reverse, at home against Malmo.
Given how easily Rangers beat Midtjylland, the Hoops should secure safe passage to the last 16 without any great fuss, not only helping Scotland’s coefficient but potentially setting up a mouth watering tie against their rivals from across the city.
Will Celtic progress to the last 16 of the Europa League?

Celtic should progress but anything can happen in knockout football, the Champions League exit being an all too painful reminder from this season, complacency is punished at this level of football, however, if Neil Lennon has his players prepared, few would bet against them reaching the last sixteen.
