According to the Daily Mail, Celtic are looking at Luca Connell and could have a financial edge over other chasing clubs in the race for him.

Bolton Wanderers have had a very tough time of things in recent months and with them heading into League One, it looks as though a number of their players are going to leave.

Connell is one of the brighter sparks, too, and could well be off on his travels this summer to an English side or to us.

Indeed, if he comes to us we’ll be able to get him cheaper than a club in his current country thanks to compensation rules that won’t apply as we’re in Scotland.

If he signs for us, then, he could cost as little as £240,000 which, for a player of his talent and potential, almost seems a no-brainer.

Of course, other clubs are going to be able to pay a larger fee for him anyway, but we have got a real chance of getting him surely.

    • Hes someone we can make a better player and end up with 10m for a player that will cost 240k thats a great deal if you ask me and he is a good player

  • Whilst I can see the that the argument you make has some long,
long term merit. I find myself like Charlie and i’m confident the majority of Celtic fans finding thier worst fears coming to pass. The choice of Mr. N. Lennon ( Who I totally respect ) as one fan said “If he was cut he would bleed green .” I’m sorry but that in no way should be all the qualifications needed . Celtic f.c. have’nt even followed up on T. Weah who hasn’t had a bad word
to say about us and was open to returning , i hear he’s now in the midst of a £9m move to Lille . I’m sure i just heard the hand me down “biscuit tin snap shut .” Must be the £3m for Turnbull . God help us . HH
