It seems as though the club are once again casting the net far and wide in the search for young talent. The Daily Record is reporting that we have revived our attempts to sign Croatian attacking midfielder Lovro Majer.

The 20 year old is currently plying his trade with NK Lokomotiva in the Croatian First Football League. He has been a stand out performer this season scoring ten goals and providing five assists in 25 matches so far.

We had been linked with the player in the summer, and it looks like we`ll continue our pursuit at the end of the campaign following an excellent season in his homeland.

The midfielder actually got his first senior cap for Croatia last May, but it`s being reported that his club could let him go for £1.5m.

It appears we`ll have a battle on our hands if we want to land the playmaker. The Daily Record say that Premier League clubs Everton and Newcastle, as well as Belgian club Racing Genk, have also been monitoring the midfielder.

Let`s hope we can steal a march on our rivals to snap up a player who looks a great prospect for the future.
