Celtic injury boost ahead of Sunday. Lennon reveals mood in the camp

|

Neil Lennon, speaking to Celtic Official Twitter, reveals that the team are excited about Sunday’s Scottish Cup Final with Hearts on Sunday and that preparations are going well with no new fresh injury worries.

The Hoops gaffer has been under incredible  pressure over the last few months as exits from Europe and the League Cup before December coupled with poor league form has led to many fans calling for his head.  With the corner seemingly turned after back to back victories against Lille and Kilmarnock and with the emergence of Turnbull and Soro, Lennon has a nice selection dilemma ahead of him.

The Celtic boss revealed, “Nothing’s normal about this season or this year but we are excited and we’ve had a good week’s training. There are no fresh injury worries or concerns and we are looking forward to it

“We try and put a team out to win. Everyone’s in contention. Even the bench, there’s some decisions to make on that as well. There’s a really healthy, strong squad to choose from so I’m a bit spoiled for choice at the minute.

“It’s not about my career or my accolades. It’s about the team and what they can achieve. I’m only as good as them and they’ve been amazing. We are one step away from something monumental and I don’t think we’ll see it again in our lifetime

“It’s a cup final and a game we want to win and I’ve got to pick the best team for the occasion and to help us win another trophy.”

Good news for Celtic fans as the team seems to be ready for the big occasion and with Lennon confirming no fresh injury worries ahead of the match, Sunday’s team announcement will be very interesting indeed.
