After being completely lambasted by his current manager at on loan club Mechelen, Marian Shved will not be returning to CEltic Park in the January window. Mechelen boss, Wouter Vrancken told the young Ukranian that he should take up billiards instead of football because of his attitude, has now seemingly took a u turn and will be keeping the winger on.

Mechelen Sporting Director, Tom Kaluve revealed that after the managers harsh words, Shved’s attitude and work rate has changed for the better, “We had a conversation with the player and the manager together.

“We will try to do everything so that Marian becomes the player in Mechelen that he was in Ukraine before.

“He is a very talented football player and a good guy. It cannot be called problematic at all.

“We have already seen a reaction from him in training.

“I am confident that he will become an important player for us for the rest of the season.”

The Celtic coaching staff will certainly be hoping that the loan deal works out and Shved recaptures the form that persuaded the Parkhead board to shell out £2m for the talented winger.

Shved came to Celtic with a big reputation and the player undoubtedly has some talent about him but his attitude and work rate has let him down seriously since his big money to Celtic Park and if this latest news is to be believed, then hopefully Shved will return a more complete player in the summer to fight for his place in the team.
