There has been many occasions when ex Celtic player Kris Commons has raised the ire of Celtic fans with some of his comments. In fact for most former players of ours, it seems like a rite of passage to attack the club that gave them a platform in the first place. However in today’s Daily Record, it seems that Kris Commons has finally seen what all Celtic supporters already know. That when we are at our best, no team in Scotland can compete.
Making his title prediction, the former attacking midfielder, Commons stated he couldn’t see anyone getting close to Celtic especially on their A game…
“Celtic. When it all clicks and they hit top gear, the style of football they play is absolutely frightening. They blew the rest of the league away during the second half of last season when they went on an amazing run to clinch the title.”
While former Rangers legend Brian Laudrop, feels that his old club would win our in a war of attrition, common sense seems to suggest that a Celtic side that went from September 2021 undefeated in the league, which has strengthened this summer and has a largely settled squad will be able to surge ahead of any potential challengers in the league.

“They have a consistency and an understanding of the system that Ange Postecoglou wants to play. It’s so fluid and so good to watch. I just don’t really see enough goals or firepower in this Rangers team to convince me that they can overturn things from last season.”
