Celtic are now back in the headlines for all the right reasons this morning.

After the tumultuous headlines surrounding the club after ‘Bannergate’, the domestic action returns this week with Motherwell up next with their upcoming visit to Celtic Park.

The Hoops will be looking to put the record straight after the St Mirren defeat just before the international break but it’s not team news that has surfaced this morning.

It’s a potential transfer story.

The Daily Record have linked the club to Israeli u21 international Oscar Gloukh.

Gloukh is an 18-year-old attacking midfielder and according to the report, he is also being targetted by clubs all around Europe including Ajax and Lille.

What is interesting is that the report links back to Israeli news station Sport5 where Espanyol youth team coach Luis Vicente Matteo had some very interesting things to say about the youngster.

Matteo worked with Gloukh for one season at Tel Aviv and left an incredible impression on him, “He was a star from the time I worked in Israel.

“I followed him back then. He is not one of the greatest talents in Israel, he is one of the greatest talents in Europe.

“The problem is that sometimes the clubs block the players so as not to lose them.

“He showed that he can play at a high level in Maccabi Tel Aviv, in the adult team, but he needs to take the next step to continue his career and raise his level.”

And where better to continue his development than under Ange Postecoglou?

The Celtic boss has helped fellow countryman Liel Abada turn into one of the most potent attacking threats at Celtic and could very well do the same to young Gloukh.

It is all, of course, just conjecture at this moment and time and whether anything surfaces from this rumour is still to be determined but there is no doubt that Gloukh is highly rated and could be a decent acquisition for the club.

It’s the dreaded international break. So take away the boredom and try our *BRAND NEW* quiz. Who are Celtic’s most capped players from these countries?
