According to the Scottish Sun, Celtic are looking at George Baldock as a potential signing this summer as they look to add to their defence.
The wing-back is a powerful runner and offered good attacking threat to Sheffield United’s play last season as they ended up getting promoted from Championship and into the Premier League.
Certainly, the 26-year-old would be an impressive coup if we could get him because his Blades side is now in the Premier League and will be able to offer him some of the biggest challenges in the game.
We, though, can offer him the chance for trophies and European football which should not be sniffed at by many players – certainly not as much as it is.
Of course, he could well be on Premier League wages but if we could structure some kind of deal then I would be a fan of this signing.
I won’t get too excited about it just yet, though, as plenty still needs to be done before it can realistically happen.
