According to Le Telegramme, Romain Perraud is set to join Brest on a four-year deal as he moves there from fellow French side Nice.
Why is this of interest to us as Celtic fans, then, I hear you ask and, basically, it’s because he is another player that we have been linked with to add to our defensive options.
Indeed, the Scottish Sun reported this summer that the player was a target for us as we looked to add to our defence – something that we still need to do before the deadline.
Several defenders have left the club across the backline, of course, and that is a far from ideal situation for us but it seems as though Perraud will not be coming to Paradise any time soon.
He’s apparently agreed a long-term deal with his new club and the Bhoys are going to have to look elsewhere as they strive to add to their full-back options.
