As Celtic move on to another cup final next month, at least it took away from the transfer speculation surrounding out players.
With Josip Juranovic and Giorgos Giakoumakis both tipped to leave the club this month, both players played a huge part in Celtic cruising past Kilmarnock to get to the Viaplay League Cup Final next month.
But will both of them be around for the final?
One may well be.
Taking to his Instagram, Giakoumakis posted this message this afternoon:

Does it mean that the big Greek striker could stay beyond the January window and beyond?
Or does it simply mean that his supposed transfer out of the club is merely delayed to the summer?
Or was he taking to social media to say goodbye to the fans?
I would love it if the big man stayed on until at least the end of the season.
In fact, I want him to stay for good.
He has proven his worth to the team time and again and came up with goals for us when it matters.
He also deputised for Kyogo brilliantly when the Japanese striker was out injured last season.
Yes, we could sign a replacement.
But at least with Giakoumakis, we know exactly what we are getting with the player.

Hope the big man hangs around for a while yet,he terrorises defenc s with his physicality,his positioning ,and penalty box nous.Hes 28 and I think wants a bit more cash,as he will have one big move in him now.Give him a pay hike Celtic and he will repay us in goals.
