This one isn’t really a surprise if I am honest.

After his outburst last week, Chris Jullien looked as if he can’t wait to get out the club.

Now in some ways I can understand him being frustrated at not making the first team, of course I can, but when you go public and basically start demanding to play or else, then that’s where the line needs to be drawn.

Just last week Vital Celtic reported Jullien as saying, “Since mid-January, I feel 100%, after that it is the choices of the coach.

“It belongs to him and he is successful: we have been champions since Wednesday and in December we won the cup.

“For my part, I told the coach in January that I was ready to go.

“Now it’s his choice and sometimes he doesn’t name me on the bench because he prefers to take a midfielder who can play in central defence.

“I’m unsatisfied with my playing time this season because it’s frustrating and all I want is to be on the pitch.”

Not the best way to endear himself to the fans or manager but the outburst seems to have worked because according to The Sun, there are ‘several’ French clubs sniffing around the £7m defender and they could be set to launch bids for him as soon as the transfer window opens.

Maybe Julliens time at Paradise is up. Maybe Postecoglou has had a look at him and thought he doesn’t fit the style of football.

Or maybe that outburst just sealed his fate.

Whatever it is, one thing is clear. It does look like Julliens long term future is not at Celtic Park.
