Another day, another player lost.  Celtic have, yet again, lost out on another transfer target as Bright Osayi-Samuel signs a pre contract agreement with Turkish Superliga side, Fenerbache.  The Nigerian winger notified his club Queens Park Rangers, of the developments today and the London club released a statement to confirm, “The club has issued the following statement regarding Bright Osayi-Samuel:

QPR can confirm Bright Osayi-Samuel has today (Saturday 16th January) informed the club he has signed a pre-contract agreement with Turkish Super Lig side Fenerbahce.

Osayi-Samuel will remain a QPR player until the end of the 2020/21 season unless Fenerbahce reach an agreement with the club for his early release.

The 23-year-old joined QPR from Blackpool in the summer of 2017. He has made 115 appearances for the R’s in all competitions to date, scoring 13 goals”

Celtic had reportedly been tracking Osayi-Bright for a number of months now and this latest development will be a devastating blow to boss, Neil Lennon, as yet another target slips through the net.

Lennon is now living on borrowed time with another two points dropped at Celtic Park yesterday against Livingston and many fans will be left wondering if he will be allowed to spend cash in this window to bolster the squad or are the board hedging their bets and keeping the cash for the summer should a potential new boss come in?
