Another day, another talk of a planned protest at Celtic Park on yet another Sunday.  It is time to call it a day on these public gatherings from the supporters and here is why.  The board absolutely have no intentions of removing Neil Lennon as the Manager of Celtic. Not least until January.  This planned protest will do nothing except continue to disillusion a team that is already lacking in confidence.

The timing of the protest is nothing but shameful too.  Organised at the time when the team are arriving at the stadium to ready themselves for a league match is crass.  It’s like complaining about a meal before it has even been served. It makes no sense and it is completely pointless.

There is absolutely no need to protest before the game.  I think the players, manager and board have got the message over the course of the last two weekends.  The performances are not good enough. The Celtic fans are unhappy.  The team know what they need to do so here’s a crazy idea. Instead of protesting, why don’t the trust arrive BEFORE a game and show support for the team?  Regardless of your feelings about the manager, show SUPPORT for the team.  You never know, it may well help to spur the Bhoys on to a much needed home win and three points.

Kilmarnock are sitting seventh in the league and this game will be tough. The team need backing now, not criticism. The point has been made. It’s time to draw a line under these protests and start backing the team.
