Lennon to give overlooked Bhoys game time

|

Neil Lennon held his pre match press conference today via video call and hinted that now may be the time that the fringe players that have been overlooked in recent weeks will get some game time.

In an interview with similar tones to Mohmed Elyounoussi, Lennon said, “We want to use the squad tomorrow and freshen things up. Hopefully it’ll be the start of a good week, and a good run. We will endeavour to do everything we can to turn things around. We are hoping we go and put in a good performance tomorrow against Lille and then we take it from there. We are looking forward to all the games this month”

Lennon did reveal that there are injury doubts tomorrow, “Bitton, Elhamed and Ntcham are all major doubts for tomorrow. We are looking at Klimala, Turnbull, Soro getting game time which they deserve and need with the run of games coming up. It’s ideal to give them an opportunity to play”

So at least now Celtic fans are getting their wish. For weeks now many have been crying out to see Turnbull and Soro get some minutes on the clock not only to see what they can do but mainly so that players who are off form get dropped and taken out the firing line.

Lennon could certainly do with these Bhoys making an instant impact tomorrow night because another poor performance, never mind the result, will only heap more pressure on the gaffer at a time when the games are coming thick and fast.
