Celtic have been handed a major Premier Sports Cup Final boost as their rivals, Hibernian, have just dismissed their manager, Jack Ross.

As Celtic prepare to face Hibernian without Jota, the Edinburgh side could be about to face the Hoops manager-less as the Edinburgh side remove Ross after just over two years in charge.

After last nights 1-0 defeat to Livingston, Hibs sit seventh in the SPFL just six points from safety.

After a run of fixtures that saw the Hibees pick up just one win in ten games, the Edinburgh side’s board have reacted to fan anger and parted ways.

Sky Sports journalist broke the news on Twitter barely fifteen minutes ago as he said, “Hibs boss Jack Ross has been sacked following last night’s defeat to Livingston – just 10 days before the League Cup final with Celtic.

This news will come as a major boost to the Celtic fans as they will see this as a perfect disruption to their opponents as Ange Postecoglou bids to bring the first piece of available silverware to Glasgow this season.

The Hoops gaffer confirmed at yesterdays pre match Europa League press conference that Celtic will be without their influential Portuguese winger Jota as he still bids to recover from his injury picked up in the 1-0 win against Hearts at Celtic Park last Thursday night.
