There have been many players who have impressed at Celtic this season.

From the obvious of Kyogo and Jota, to the industrious Anthony Ralston and Callum McGregor.

But former Celtic striker, Chris Sutton, has revealed in his column today, the one man he thinks is pivotal to Celtic and would be a nightmare for the team if he was missing for any period of time, “Now I do realise it would be a nightmare if Joe Hart was missing for games. There is not adequate cover there for someone who has really impressed.

“Hart lost his way for a bit, no doubt. But fair play to him. I liked what I heard when he was signing about not thinking twice and wanting to play. I liked that fact.

“He didn’t want to sit down on a Saturday picking up a big wage doing nothing like some of the fatcats in England do. Get a sackload of cash playing Under-23 games.

“He wanted to come and test himself in a nightmare position. And that’s what being Celtic goalkeeper is. A nightmare.

“You go through long periods doing nothing and then have a save to make. If you don’t and a goal goes in, you get berated.

“Fraser Forster raised the bar, but Joe has gone in and looked so assured.

“Celtic fans view him with a confidence that he is not going to do anything too daft. There will be the odd mistake, but that’s just a product of how Celtic play under the manager.”

And he is right. Who is there for cover if Hart either gets injured or receives a ban?

Barkas looks on his way out. Bain and Hazard are nowhere to be seen?

With Forster being released by Southampton and Marshall deemed surplus to requirements at their respective clubs, could there be scope to making a move for either of them?

You would hope Postecoglou has someone in mind come January.
