It’s been a good January window for Celtic so far, but could it get better? The Celtic attack has received a number of upgrades already this month, but beyond that, the Hoops’ focus has been limited.

Still, with more than enough time to make that right, it’s looking to be an exciting few weeks for Celtic supporters.

We recently asked fans what area of the field the club should be focusing on heading into the rest of the window, whether that be in goal, in defence, in midfield or, indeed, going forward.

It appears as though many Celtic fans are convinced that it’s the defence that needs the most focus, with a whopping 93% of those polled eager to see improvement in that area of the field first and foremost. Beyond that, just 5% of fans want to see more attacking depth, whilst 1% of fans voted for both the midfield and between the sticks.

Clearly, this is an almost unanimous verdict from the polled Celtic faithful, and it’s easy to see why.

The Hoops have been leaky at points this term, and their lack of depth, in particular, is an issue. With so many games on the horizon – namely with the return of the Europa League – it’s not going to be easy for Celtic as they look to navigate the second-half of the campaign.

Clearly, then, the pressure will be on Brendan Rodgers and his recruitment team to bring in a bit more defensive quality.
