Celtic Park on European nights is regarded as one of the best in Europe.

So much so that France Football [via Glasgow World] named it in their Top 30 of the world’s most ‘vibrant’ football stadiums, where Paradise placed 5th.

And last night was no exception.

As ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’ was belted out from all four stands, Spanish journalist Rafa Mainez tweeted this:

And Cordoba FC’s Sporting Director’s reply was simply brilliant:

Translated: “The closest thing to The Archangel”

And how true is that?

Every time that song gets belted from the stands the hairs on the arms and the back of the neck always stand up.

Emotion starts swelling as well as a sense of pride in the fans.

There is simply no better atmosphere in football in my opinion, obviously.

Unfortunately, the result didn’t reflect the fan’s performance from the stands as the Hoops went down 3-0 after an impressive first-half performance saw us go toe to toe with the Madrid giants.

Next up is Shakthar Donetsk in Poland on the 14th of September and after the Ukrainians easily despatched RB Leipzig in Germany last night, it does seem that Celtic may have a fight from a team that many thought could be easily beaten.

Celtic hold the record for Scottish Cup wins. Can you name the players whose goals won these TEN Scottish Cup Finals? Take the quiz and challenge your friends and family.
