It was always inevitable that Ange Postecoglou would get linked with a job in England.

From what he has already achieved at our club in such a short space of time, he was always bound to get noticed.

A league and cup double in his maiden season whilst undertaking one of the biggest squad rebuilds in our recent history was nothing short of remarkable.

That, coupled with qualification for the Europa League by knocking out AZ Alkmaar was just something special.

And now that the gaffer is strutting his stuff in the Champions League and going toe to toe with Real Madrid whilst playing sexy football, whenever a top job comes up you can bet your last pound that Postecoglou WILL be linked with it.

But Brighton? Seriously? [Daily Record]

No disrespect but Ange is better than that club.

A club who’s stadium is almost half of that as Celtic’s plus having the prospect of fighting relegation every season? No thanks.

And that’s the answer I would expect the Celtic boss to give.

As does Chris Sutton:

Ange will one day get his big move. One day a club in one of the biggest leagues in Europe will praise him away from us.

Unfortunately for Brighton, it won’t be them Ange chooses.

Chelsea apparently looking at Ange too! All I’ll say is look at Brendan Rodgers and Steven Gerrard!

Ange needs to address a couple of things with his system after Real Madrid exposed weaknesses in it we’ve been pointing out for a while now, being the lack of defensive width, and the old Celtic favourite thats plagued us in Europe for years now in defending too high up the park then getting suckered on the counter attack, hopelessly chasing play back towards our goal!

I’d look at McGregor’s position too and get someone more creative in there who’s confident on the ball at close quarters and can pick an attack minded pass.
